My travelling story
DISCLAIMER: All my accents tend to sound like Cold War-era B-movie villains. It's something I'm working on.
By the way, the above story does not concern the oddest hostel I stayed in. That award probably goes to the one in Florence--that time, I DID book ahead, and ended up sleeping on a cot. It was jammed up against the next (actual) bed, so when I woke up in the middle of the night, I was practically spooning some girl whose name I'll never know. We didn't end up being both conscious and in the room at the same time during my stay.
I wonder if she still thinks of me... (cue sappy music).

I'm assuming that when I arrive, choirs of angels will sing, rainbows will criss-cross the sky, and the citizens will rejoice, for I will have finally realized my destiny to see BRATISLAVA! When i inter-railed through Europe in 1991, me n three friends got picked up by one of the 'old ladies' - she took us home and tried to marry one of my friends off to her 13-yr-old son! The poor thing had to play violin for my mortified friend whilst we tried not to laugh in the bedroom!
